Dancers get help with Christmas Carol Original choreography, music and three casts of 25 York Region performers will join the eight professional dancers of Motus O for its ninth annual production of A Christmas Carol in Stouffville. "Everyone knows A Christmas Carol. The story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the three spirits has become part of our culture. But we've put a new slant on things, so the story is both familiar and different. It's Dickens with a twist," said Motus O's co-artistic director, Jack Langenhuizen. The production is being staged at the Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment - Nineteen on the Park in downtown Stouffville. Cast members are from Stouffville, Newmarket, Uxbridge and Markham. There are also students from Stouffville's Dance Creations studio. Pre-show bell-ringing will be provided by Stouffville's Stephen Sword. Based in Stouffville, the Motus O company is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Show times are: Dec. 19 (2 and 7 p.m.), Dec. 20 (4 and 7 p.m.) and Dec. 21 (2 and 7 p.m.).
