Churches in Canada have an agreement with Immigration Canada to support refugee families via a pre-approved government list. The list not only includes Syrians, but refugees from Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Joan Masterton, minister at St. James Presbyterian Church. "Partnering is always a great idea," Masterton said, adding she has not approached Stouffville United yet, but all plans are just in the very early stages.
