Expansion of Civil Marriage Solemnization Services offered by the Town to provide for off-site ceremonies. Staff are recommending an amendment to Schedule "B" of By-law 2015-085-FI, the Fees and Charges Bylaw, to include fees for this new service. Any inquiries regarding the Civil Marriage Services report and bylaw should be directed to Isabel Leung, Deputy Clerk, ext. 2321. 2. Amendments to Schedule "F" of By-law 2015-085-FI, the Fees and Charges By-law; By-law 2013-104-SI, the Site Plan Control By-law, and By-law 2015-068-RE, the Delegated Authority By-law, to reflect site plan process changes in accordance with Council Resolutions adopted on July 17, 2015. A copy of the above-mentioned report and by-law amendments will be made available to the public on Thursday, September 10, 2015 on the Town's website, at the Municipal Offices and the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library. 2015 FINAL TAXES DUE DATE - SEPTEMBER 18th, 2015 TAX PAYMENTS may be made: - By Pre-Authorized Payment Plan applications are available on our website at www.townofws.ca - By mail, post-dated cheques are acceptable. - At most Financial Institutions through the teller or banking machine, or by telephone and Internet banking. - In person at the Municipal Offices, 111 Sandiford Drive. - After hours payments may be placed in the drop box located at the main entrance of the Municipal Offices. SUPPLEMENTARY TAXES ON NEWLYCONSTRUCTED HOMES Owners have been or will be receiving tax bills for the value of the"land"only excluding building, until the house is assessed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). Once assessed, supplementary tax bills will be issued for the house, retroactive to the date of possession. To estimate the annual taxes, simply multiply the purchase price of the home x 1%. This process can take 2 to 3 years and the tax bills will be due within a short time period. Pre-payments on account or through a pre-authorized payment plan can be made to assist homeowners in planning for these future supplementary tax bills.
