Carvalho has constructed a shelter made out of cardboard and packing tape, reflecting issues of homelessness and the need for shelter. Daniel Colby presents five paintings that explore gender, age identity and human relationships. Prerew also introduces Stbuffville artist Jacquelin Heichert, who uses Free Press By Maura Broadhurst Here‘s To The Next 30 Years relief printing to create images she calls Everydry Landscapes, representing the repetitive nature of daily activities. A new tree outside the gallery, created by Robert Hengeveld, rotates slowly, drawing attention to our relationship with nature. Tania Love also considers our natural environment through delicate works on paper using natural dyes that she transforms into paper sculptures. ""'l’""' Musicians are invited to visit the gallery throughout the exhibition and create a piece inspired by a specific artwork or the show in general. On Oct. 24, the gallery will host its popular event, What does a work of'un sound like? when the musicians will return and perform their compositions. Everyone is invited to attend the event, as we consider the visual arts from the perspective of musical interpretation. Come and celebrate our history in October and join us as we embark on our next 30 years!
