The library's giant book sale raised almost eleven thousand dollars over the four and a half days of the sale this year. These funds will go towards augmenting the collections at the library, offering more programs, and providing additional resources for the residents of‘the eornmunity. To the Editor The book sale fundraising committee has many, many people to thank for helping to make this event so successful, The sale is truly a collaborative effort! First, to the Stouffville Firefighters, the Kinsmen Club of Stouffville, the Richardson Lodge Masons, the Stouffville Lions Club, and the students of SDSS and other neighbouring schools for their involvement in setting up and taking down the sale. Thanks also to Lindy’s Floral Boutique, Steve 8: 112’s No Frills, A 81 F, and Sobeys for donatin refreshments to the sale. Thanks to the many vo unteers who gave so freely of their time, sorting, selling and packing. Our appreciation is also extended to your newspaper for supporting the sale through advertisement and publicity. Last, but certainly not least, many thanks are due to the citizens of Whitchurch-Stouffville who came out in record numbers to support this annual fundraiser. It is through their generous support that this event continues to be a great success. All this dedication and” commitment is most appreciated. John Relph 0 Chair .
