By Kate Gilderdale Stouflville This Month Richard Fronske has been interested in an since his days as a student at Stouffville District Secondary School "I dab- bled in it a bit at school, and then I went to George Brown for graphic design. I saw classes by Bob Ross on TV and the wet-on-wet technique he used stuck with me." His painted saw blades are very popular with buy- ers. "I do mostly commis- I was very lucky because the teacher was the secre- tary of the Toronto Film Board and he really knew what he was doing. I had always had my camera on automatic settings. but after that course I took the manual out and learned how to work everything on it." she said. "I wasn‘t really interested in photography to begin with." She took some film courses and learned how to work with a still camera to create her own unique view of the world. "The first year Admission to Art in the Park is $5 for adults. with no charge for young people under I6. Refreshments will be available at the event. Uxbridge Lion Larry Peet and Stoulfville artist Richard Fronske prepare for the ninth annual Art in the Park, which takes place in Elgin Park, Uxbridge on August 17 and 18. The event is sponsored by the Uxbridge Lions, with proceeds to local charities. To date, about 200 kms of about 250 kms have been completed and the trail starts with a link to the Caledon Trailway near Palgrave in the west, to the town of Cores Landing on Rice Lake in the east. hikes on the trail for everyone from beginners to experienced hikers.
