Ralph is a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Lindsay. Brian and Ron are cousins. Doug loved his church as much as his church loved him. It was here he also served as a Sunday school teacher and trustee. Besides his wife. He and other gospel music fans enjoyed several long-distance bus trips to conventions in the United States. A lifelong member of Mdeman Mennonite (lhunch. Doug's passion for music. both vocal and instrumental. opened many doors. He took piano lessons as a child and later. the trumpet became his favourite instmment. It was while employed on the secretarial staff at Dickson's Hill public school that a (loci sion was made to close that facility and mow French Immersion instruction to Glad Park. A native of Wdlowdale. Susan moved to Reno. Nevada where she completed her secondary school education. ()n returning to Ontario. she resided first at Milliken and then Markham. Her association with the York Region board spans 26 years. -()ne of these is Susan Boyuk who. tor the past 12 years. has held the position of elementary ofiice administrative assistant at Stoulfville's Glad Park Public Schml. On April 30 she said her farewells. However. before walking out the door she was honored l)_\ principal Terry McElrey. viceâ€"principal Marina (Jochrane. office personnel loy Rose and Nancy George; members of staff. husband Michael and daughter Leslie. a teacher in vaenhurst.
