Ward3 Councillor-elect Clyde Smith was officially declared the victor by a 24-vote margin over Hugo T. Kroon. “I think what we learned is the tabulators worked well. There was never an issue with them," Mr. Kroon told The Sun- Tribune immediately following the recount. “Some people in town were expecting a change. We did this recount to honour that request." The Wednesday morning manual and automated recount in the council chambers found one vote in favour of Mr. Kroon.
