A shortage of offensive ï¬repower plagued the Mennos as they generated just two hits off Aurora starting and winning pitch- er George Karkambasis. Those hits, by Jeff Boadway and Faisal Hassan in the second inning, propelled the Mennos to a 1-0 lead. Aurora countered in the third inning ’ with three runs, courtesy of two hits, two -‘ Loss ’sends Mennos to B side walks and a hit batsman. Helping Aurora preserve their win was some solid inï¬eld defence as they executed two key double plays in the ï¬fth and sixth innings to squelch potential rallies. Greg Dalgarno pitched well for the Men- 1 nos in a losing effort as he went ï¬ve innings and yielded all four runs on seven hits. lay Nesbitt pitched the sixth inning for the Mennos and retired the side in order. As of press time, the Mennos did not know when their next playoff game will be as some quarter-ï¬nal games are scheduled to take place early next week.
