History bufls can now research local lore right from home as more than a centurst worth of newspapers have been digitized and made available online. “I'm so happy that it’s finally up and running." said Carolyn Nordheimer James, CEO of the library. “It took a lot longer than we thought, but the end result is well worth the wait." The project took two years to complete because, according to Ms Nordheimer James, the host web site - Knowledge Ontario In the fall of 2007, the library applied for a grant from the Ministry of Culture, which gov- erns Ontan'o public libraries, for money under the Library Strategic Development Fund to digitize the papers. A grant of $26,750 was award- ed to the library to The Sun-Tribune, the Stoufi’ville Sun and The Tribune, which dates back to Nov. 16, 1888.
