Which brings it back to a partnership with the private sector. “The town's position is nof with the viability of it," Mr. Cash said. “The issue has always been the ï¬nancial cost associated with it" According to the soccer club's feasibility report, the facilitythey are proposing. would be steel framed, 28,125 square feet and cost $2.4 million. It would be 30 feet high, with four change rooms, two showers/washrooms, oflice and storage space, as well as a potential snack bar and] or lounge in the mezzanine level For the p'ast eight or nine years, the club has been putting money aside for this facility. Mr. Kozak-Holland would not say how much they have saved. The club is not, however, the only entity interested in building an indoor soccer pitch in Wtchureh-Stooï¬ville. 'IWo other private sector groups are working with pri- vate land owners, according to Mr. Emerson, includ- ing two members of the Toronto FC pro team who met with him last year to discuss building an indoor pitch in the Davis Drive and Woodbine Avenue area. The club wants the facility to be located in the core of Stouflville so it is accessible to all potential user groups. Some members of council think differently. “Facilities like this need to be spread out instead of concentrated in one area," said Councillor Ken Ferdi- nands. “I'm hoping that as a part of the discussions, this avenue would be discussed." The site was quickly negated because it does not have water or sewer service. However, the soccer players are still looking at other sites, Mr. AErnmerson said.‘ The 106a] soccer club and the town are also trying to hammer out a potential public/ private partnership. However, a sticking point may be location: “Land's pretty expensive in the core. I think it’s got to be in the outskirts," Mr. Emerson said. 011'?me - ibO's’E’ Rués Steam 0 BROADLOOM m... †Inn- 0 UPI‘IOLSTERY Steam )) 905-642-511 1 0 3M Scotchouam axiomsme _-12mnohysm WASHER omen-Fr owmm 01MRPHSpInSpood OIHJMWIMW uzmomsm 07.0w-FT WASHER 08M nonom oouuysun 038mm 06.1w-FT 090w!†WWW canyons: 086mm] owmw cumulus/5W MSRP WASHER DRYER 03.5w-FT .7_1cu-ncwty nooonm oscyug; 'DMSM o3DryIngTempotmns °Bldoi0vdeSional OSWSMDI'UIII WASHER o4.ocu- n 01MRPISphSpeod 'SWSDO'Dmm oucyues oswuvspmswoa owmcyua {DohySMUZWfl 3 WASHER usw-nuaoonm amom Omani:de owe-noun omnibus“ wmmm exam-Freame ommm OWeMofcwie «WWW owmomnouysm oExtaMedTmnbleCydo 0L0!)me ‘1298°°
