That's because after months of negotia- tions between WhiStle Radio and its Main Street landlord, the parties have not been able to come to an agreement, which means the station will be without a studio. “We have nowhere to go right now, so right now it looks like we'll have to go off the air and we don’t know how we'll get back on the air.†said Jim Priebe, chairperson and founder of the station. “His need for our tent quite exceeded our capacity to pay. We paid the utilities, but (the landlord) donated the space. It was a very good arrangement for us that we knew wouldn't last forever.†Although WhiStle Radio will be without a studio come the end of January. its volunteers are trying to ï¬gure out how to keep the not- for-proï¬t community station on the air.
