For the sixth year in a row, resi- dents from all over the municipality are invited to celebrate the season by tobogganing, taking ATV rides across the lake, or a horse drawn wagon ride at neighbouring Shad- ow Lake. To help warm up the belly, the Ballantrae Scouts will be serving up hot dogs, hot chocolate “and the best beaver tails you’re ever going to have,” according to event cre- ator, organizer and Whitchurch- Stouflville councillor Phil Bannon. The event takes place at Cedar Beach on Valentine's Day, Saturday. Feb. 14, from 1 to 4 pm. The first year fOr the event, about 500 people from the immediate community came out for ATV and hay rides. Last year, more than 2,000 people from Whitchurch-Stouffville and neighbouring municipalities ventured out for an afternoon of family fun. “It's really turned into a great Stouffville community event," Mr. Bannon said.
