For Bethany Gee, a nampolinist for seven years, seeing Ms Cockbum win a medal was an inspiration. In addition to Ms Cockbum and Mr. Bur- nett, the club has produced Matt Thrgeon; a bronze medalist at the 2000 Games in Sydney and Rosannagh MacLennan, who competed in her first Olympics this year. But Mr. Zuckerman anticipates even more interest, thanks to the high profile the sport has received during the Olympics. But the medals; represent much more than just a thrill, Ms Saari said. “One of the moms at the club was telling me after Karen got the silver, her son turned to her and said, ‘Mom, I know what I want to do now.
