Carley Berry and Brittany Dun- bar are this year’s opening and closing soloists Both girls are mul- tiple gold-level skaters, and have been skating since age 2. For the first time, guest skaters will not be in the show. Instead, skaters from only the club will showcase their talents. The 44th bi-annual Stouffville Skating Club's Ice Revue takes place May 9 and 10. This year’s theme is Skater’s Choice Awardsand features music from Hannah Montana, Hairspray, and Dirty Dancing. V While Brittany has been the opening soloist in a previous ice show, this is Carley’s first time. “I was kind of surprised when I found out I had got the solo," Car- ley said. “I was really happy, but I didn't think I would get it.” Brittany said this time around. she's a little nervous being of the last performances of the s_how. “It’s the last thing péople are going to see, so there's more pres- sure to do a good job," she said. “I’m really excited, though." Despite being nervous, Brittany . New lighting will be used to make the show more exciting, she said. Both girls have different opin- ions as to what the best part of the show is for them. “Dress rehearsal is a lot of fun because of the pictures," said Car- ley, who added the photographer always makes the skaters laugh. “The first show is the most exciting (part) for me,” Brittany said. “It's so exciting."
