pate 8 the tribune tbunetay deceaber 28 1972 25 town recreation committee promoted many programs r slapshots by jack watson early in the season it appeared as if the omha juveniles would lose the service of ken harman ken seemed to delight in the rougher sides of hockey and was unable to maintain his cool in dealing with referees hurting his own team with costly and unnecessary penalties had management con sidering the only alternative suspending him then ken discovered that you could hurt the opponents more on the scoreboard than by rough play a complete reversal last tuesday minden visited stouffviue for an exhibition tilt and stouffviue won the game 83 ken harman scored two goals and assisted on two others while tolerating the abuse of having an opposing player spit in his face i really dont believe that ken wiu cease to be the accommodating tough guy we have all come to know but for the time being at least its great to watch him and the rest of the juveniles develop into what may very well be another team to take a provincial title the sporting fraternity was saddened by the loss of a great fan with the passing of bob snowball our sympathies go out to bob and helen hassard in their loss for some of stouffvilles omha teams scheduled league play is about over and the playoffs will be starting soon try and get down to see a few of these exciting contests in the meantime im off to see pittsburg play the leafs and to get a couple of days on the boards at mount madawaska have a happy new year stouffville the recreation com mittee town of whitchurch stouff viue
