following a period of steadily declining health mrs av nolan rupert avenue passed away monday in york county hospital mrs nolan was the wife of the late albert v nolan former reeve of stouffville and publisher of the tribune from 1922 until 1950 the deceased was the former pearle griffiths born in uxbridge where she taught school prior to her marriage in the early years of their marriage she assisted mr nolan in the publication of weekly newspapers in chesley barrie uxbridge and stouff ville mrs nolan had been a most active member of the eastern star order both in stouffville and markham and had risen to the office of district deputy prior to her poor health she was an ardent gar dener and hor- ticulturalist surviving is one son charles h nolan tribune publisher duchess st and two
