cty dr william lacroix markhams trustee representative on the york county separate school board sub mitted a verbal resignation and walked out of a meeting july 4 saying he could not associate himself with people that condoned the use of the strap as a disciplinary measure as chairman of the family life program i must resign from this board he said i can no longer sit with people with this at- ti fact a form of deterrent and a means of punishment used by most parents he said too that in his opinion it was rarely used in schools today i suggest that it is used more than you know countered mrs
