within vincial government to assume full their township boundaries if the responsibility for educational costs government takes over the fin- in ontario and presented to ontario ancial responsibility would lose control of all bility for our educational system mrs fred pugh was lifelong resident the death of mrs fred pugh on saturday july 7th removed a life long resident of the claremont dis trict mrs pugh who was in her 74th year had been in ill health for only a few months when the end came at the familv home on main street deceased was the former alice pilkey and was born near clare mont in 1904 she married fred pugh and for some years the couple farmed on the 8th con of pickering later moving into retire ment in the village the late mrs pugh was a member of the united church she had a
