matt gibson wasnt exactly in favour of the new schedule format as a former assistant coach in markham gib son felt the interlocking games eliminated the monotony of seeing the same divisional rivals on a regular basis i dont like it he said i like to play teams from the south especially markham since we get to see more teams and have a great appre ciation with how good our league is within their conference the spirit will be confined to playing newmarket aurora seguin huntsvillemuskoka orangeville collingwood couchiching who returned to the league after taking a oneyear sabbatical and firstyear entry villanova knights in an effort to add excitement and entice added viewership the league will introduce shootouts if a contest remains deadlocked after 60 minutes of regulation play and a fiveminute suddendeath overtime session the league will adapt the nhls version in which the two teams will start with three shoot ers apiece if a game remains tied after that ses sion they will go with one shooter at a time mything that will put more people in the stands is good its exciting and its now a part of our game were happy with it gibson said e canadian team tryouts on a separate note
