help alzheimer patients at bloomington cove several hundred people attended the event at the bal lantrae golf and country club to sample food and drinks from local restaurants and wineries the money will be used to purchase equipment for bloom ington coves snoezelen treat ment rooms which are designed to calm down patients and mod ify inappropriate behaviour bloomington cove should be able to purchase two fibreoptic light spray units and a bubbling water tube which illuminates bubbles inside clear vertical chambers which can be used for patient relaxation or mood ele vation the snoezelen rooms are open 24 hours a day for resi dents staff and family said robin stewart director of resi dent and family services they are used for alzheimer patients whose shortterm memory is so impaired
