required call 9056408954 musical stars set to shine for radio project by hannelore volpe staff writer the stars of stouffville stouffville musicians and songwriters have already marked their calendars for february to take part in a ben efit concert for stouffviiles own radio-station-in-the- making whistle radio the concert is feb 4 at a location to be announced local resident jim priebe who is spearheading the radio initiative said fundraising is now in progress and local businesses services and clubs have been approached for support an engineering study has to be completed before the application for a lowfrequen cy radio licence can be sent to the canadian television and radio commission that should happen early next year mr priebe said the radio station will eventually be heard by resi dents throughout stouffville mr priebe hopes samples of the musicians work can be heard at whisderadiocom the concert lineup includes cris cuddy known for his work with jeremy doormouse and max mouse and the gorrillas back in the 1960s and 70s and for his pro lific songwriting susan luke and wanda stride are the musical duo poor tom performing origi nal celtic folk country and rockroots
