pairs of eyeglasses every year the program is thriving in markham where iri the past 12 years more than 15000 pairs of glasses have been collected hundreds of thousands of people in developing countries can read and sew again build cabinets or plow a straight row because people have been fitted with a good pair of used eyeglass es markham lions club spokesperson grace medland said we are able to fulfill a challenge from the late helen ketler to he knights of the blind mrs medland and her late husband bruce started the collection program in markham in 1992 the glasses may be tagged for
