match working hours as newmarket resident sandra doyle discovered when she took a parttime job just a few miles away in sharon i got off work at 430 pm but there wasnt a bus from sharon until 530 she said thats gotten better recently but i dont know if id do this if i had to do it every day and even though housing prices here are lower than parts of toronto its a rela tively minor difference according to keith bray of the markham board of trade its safe to say theres not a surplus of affordable housing for someone in a 20anhour job mr bray said but not all employers are reporting recruitment prob lems even after moving from one town to another allied international credit and its 400strong workforce moved from markham to larger quarters in newmarket in 2003 aside from a slight shift in drawing area the company has had no problems filling positions according to laurie mcnall vicepresident of human resources no problem the work pool is some what different ms mcnall said in markham we pulled more people from the toronto area but now the pull is coming from smaller communities in york region and up to and including barrie we havent had much of a problem chris williams a spokesperson for paramount canadas wonderland said being in vaughan hasnt been a problem our fulltime staff of 150 people generally come from the north part of the region and barrie ms williams said
