canada could soon be cast into the spotlight ip hockey canada is teaming up with rbc financial group hockey commentator ron maclean and the hockey hall of fame in the rbc local hockey leaders program this program recognizes and rewards those behindthescenes individuals who work to support grassroots hockey while helping young athletes realize iheir potential we are looking for the tireless volunteers who go beyond the normal call of duty and inspire others through their dedication and actions maclean said these leaders may coach teams shovel outdoor rinks organize fundraising cam paigns or teach hockey and life skills the things that make hockey such an important and accessible part of community life in canada regional winners to be selected thirteen regional winners will receive 5000 towards a registered charityhockey cause in their community recognition m the hockey hall of fame and a signed team canada jersey v maclean will present one national winner with 25000 to benefit american pro championship by earn ing a topfive finish in the overall series standings and when the racing series recently concluded in phoenix arizona the 20- yearold gormley resident achieved his goal occupying seventh in the overall standings entering the final weekend of competition which was comprised of three races mcmullen began his assault by driving off with a second- place finish in the 12th race of the 14- event series in the following race run under extremely windy conditions mcmullen qualified in sixth and was just six tenths of a second away from reaching the podium as he
