brock was awarded the inau gural andres segovia award in recognition of his commitment to expanding the technical and musical boundaries of the gui tar repertoire it was not the first time dr brock has earned prestigious recognition he placed first in the canadian music competition in 1997 soon after the royal conservatory awarded him the gold medal in recognition of the highest standing in canada for guitar performance we are committed to enhancing and promoting the arts and culture of york region through our continual support and promotion of the arts s two years ago hewas one of the first recipients of a celebration of the arts bursary the york region news group provides the 1500 bur saries to young people pursu ing artistic careers dr brock used his bursary to launch a website after mr bouchards body was discovered and police charged mr kea with public mischief while the charge has been with- drawn the investigation into the death of the stouffville man is still very much
