spurt on monday following a public hear ing whitchurchstoufiville council gave the goahead for two subdivisions totalling 2046 homes both in the southeast quadrant lebovic enterprises ltd was given approval to build 1444 homes on 229 acres access will be from the ninth line obrien avenue and the pending exten sion of hoover park drive westerly across stouffville creek the plan includes 947 singledetached homes 364 semis and 133 townhouses meanwhile lebovic has also sub mitted a plan for 288 homes in a block adjacent to the larger ninth line devel opment tom parry the towns director of planning said the proposal is being reviewed by staff before a final decision is made a public hearing will be held mr parry said as well the way is also how clear for 602 homes to be built on 92 acres west of the tenth line south of hoover park drive this development by an ontario numbered company is 389 single- dwelling dwellings 188 semidetached homes and 25 townhouse units many of the residents voicing con cerns at the recent public hearings are candidates in the nov 10 municipal election they expressed objections linked to the development plans including the dis posal of garbage deep ditches increased traffic and decreased green space sandiford drive subdivision council was to meet last night to consider a proposal from varkim inc to build 780 units just south of sandiford drive in westend stouffville meanwhile another subdivision within the southeast quadrant was also on the agenda submitted by an ontario numbered company this application is for 666 housing units to be built on the east side of the tenth line south of kamerine crescent the new subdivisions will not be built until the ninth line sewer exten sion is in place construction of the big pipe is sched uled
