jackson so its a good time for us to increase our programming after a sum mer hiatus for younger art afficionados popu lar art teacher judy bear campbell will be holding art classes at the gallery the series of twohour classes for seven to 12yearolds will run on saturday mornings between 10 am and noon from oct 18 to nov 8 the fee for the classes is 50 for gallery members and 60 for nonmembers and includes materials judy bear campbell has built up quite a following in the area as an art teacher and were very pleased she has agreed to offer these classes jackson said in fact she is so popular we have to limit the registration or we would be swamped in addition to the childrens classes jackson himself will present a series of adult art appreciation slides lectures and discussions ranging from a look at abstract art for confirmed unbeliev ers to a discussion modern craft as a metaphor within our society this series is aimed at adults specif ically in fact several of the lectures in this program are drawn from lectures i have given or will be giving for educa tion programs at other galleries or for university courses they arent tied to our exhibitions like artists talks gener ally are
