i i 1 1 ii f 1 i i si v isi if i f st letters irritations expected in plaza setting dear editor last week you ran an article by joan ransberry on information given to her by someone claiming to rep resent the residents at success square plaza regard ing a number of problems near sammys boot bar and grill for the record cathy olive does not rep resent all of the residents namely me and i live almost directly above sammys where the socalled problems she describes would be most pronounced to listen to ms olive you would think that we live in an environment which would be likened to the janefinch corridor or the bronx area of new york city where gang violence and crime are the norm this is simply not true the landlord at success square keeps the building very tidy and clean and the only garbage ive seen is beside the large garbage containers behind the build ing obviously because of the businesses located in the plaza there will occasionally be some paper litter however this is a minor problem for years now restaurantsbars have operated from where sammys is located why is this now all of a sudden a problem as far as the socalled gang fight is concerned that was an isolated incident which could happen anywhere similarly teenagers hang ing around happen in many places not just at suc cess square any of the minor problems experienced are no different than any other area of town the only thing i do agree with ms olive about is that the odd time the music from sammys does get loud but that too is only a minor irritation and goes with the territory after all we chose to live in a building which includes commercial uses knowing full well that there was a restaurantbar located directly below us no one is forcing us to live here and some inconveniences due to nature of the neighbor hood are to be expected tanya arrowsmith stouffville correctioii tree planting april 26 whitchurchstouffville will be celebrating earth day on april 26 not april 22 as reported in the
