night at the rec centre in stouffville the host squad romped to an 81 win over the uxbridge bruins alumni keeping their perfect record intact in challenge cup competition the clippers got a three goal performance by spirit of stouf fviue head coach dan larmer larmer a former college and minor pro player scored to tie the game at 11 after jamie showers opened the scoring for the bruins with a low blast from the right point larmer then converted a pass out from behind the net by team mate john mckinnon to put the stouffville squad ahead to stay a few minutes later darren hardy and jason reesor clicked in the second period to put the clip pers up 41 tim mcneil ryan burkholder larmer and shawn leonard rounded out the scoring for stouffville in the third the game played annually in memory of former bruin and clip per dan mcneil was a fund raiser for the childrens wish founda tion jason collins was on hand to represent the foundation with the youngster dropping the open ing faceoff between reesor of the clippers and jason underwood of the bruins the pregame cere monies also saw evan cain of the bouwmeister landscaping midget clippers presented with the dan mcneil memorial trophy the bradley not running councillor ivanka bradley will not seek reelection in the fall for ward 1 while councillors judy scala cliff dunkeld and mark kostandoff each told the tribune theyd seek reelec tion in their perspective wards and councillor mike watson will likely seek reelection in the november municipal election bradley is taking a different route bradley told the tribune that shes decided against running for the ward seat after much soul searching ive tried to work hard for ward 1 and for all of whitchurchstouffville but for the past year motions present ed by me have not been well received by the rest of council i never lost sight of the fact that my first obligation is to the people my goal was to be effective and in particular results orientated the results of my efforts over the past 12 months clearly indicate that i have not succeeded to the degree that the people deserve said bradley while bradleys name will not appear on the ward 1 ballot she like most politicians
