clippers took their act to maple leaf gar dens for the second year in a row last sunday and once again emerged victorious in the timmy tyke tournament the stouffville eight year olds put the cap on the title at one of the most prestigious tournaments in minor hockey with a 54 win over the agincourt lions the clippers took an early lead in the fast paced championship showdown then held on until the end the clippers advanced to the timmy finals by defeating agin court and erindale earlier this month the stouffville lineup includes jake balsdon goalkeeper steve brown eric gainsbrook luke harrison chris stewart brandon jupp brandon walker chris schell nick jago adam craig luke mabley adam tom and mvp taylor campbell the team is coached and managed by keith jupp ron schell frank jago leslie mabley and jamie walker the clippers players join a list of past winners that includes nhl greats doug gilmour paul coffey bobby orr syl apps jr gary lee- man and brad park it was the 42nd year clippers bounced burlington twice 41 and 82 in the opening round while downing kitchener 81 they came back from a 41 deficit to send their semifinal with london into overtime but fell just short in near per fect in the clippers net turning aside 50 to 51 shots in the three matches defencemen phillips briggs trevor greenham nathaniel martin devon mcdougall and landon wideman were outstand ing
