lions club event organizer mike mor rison pointed out that the tour was not a small task to orga nize many lions volun teered their time to make the event a success he said morrison has extended spe cial recognition to stock transportation they volun teered their time and offered us drastically reduced bus rates to make the event possi ble said the tour involved busing the fraud charge laid after 9000 cheque scam an aurora woman has been charged with fraud after she allegedly forged an acquain tances signature on a 9000 cheque the 37yearold then deposited the cheque into her stoufiville account and went christmas shopping police said she took 2000 and deposited 709567 said det frank kovacs she then had 38 atm and store receipts between dec 7 and dec 28 he said the woman had been dat ing a man who left the cheque at her place at the beginning of the month when he real ized she had deposited it he called police the woman is charged with fraud uttering a forgeddocument possession of stolen prop erty and theft over 5000 seniors to view the creative and fes tive christmas lights through the streets of stoufiville this year eight seniors from the elm road apart ments took part along with 16 from testa villa 24 from parkview vil lage 11 from winlane apartments eight from buckingham manor six from the silver jubilee club as well as 20 seniors from green gables the tour was so successful club organizers are planning another this event has continually increased in size over the years and we are looking forward to bigger and better things for 97 said morrison christmas lunch a great success the second annual dec 25th christmas lunch hosted by the stoufiville country market was a resounding success a total of 350 people enjoyed the traditional christmas meal com plete with
