by an extra hour in ontario is drawing mixed reaction in whitchurchstouffville kathy fullerton coowner of fullertons is against the change shes suggesting the move will con tribute to an increase in the num ber of impaired drivers and conse quently result in more deaths and injury on the highways except for tourist areas extended drinking hours will not mean more business for tavern owners added fuller- ton here in whitchurchstouf fville patrons will drink at home and end up coming to the bars later in the evening said fullerton theyll end up drinking more by starting at home she stressed john breen owner of the town crier said unfortunately putting a limit on the number of hours that alcohol can be served does not affect safety on the highway if people get wasted and drive like lunatics theres nothing to stop them breen said chamber offers course another customerservice train ing course is being offered in stouffville in midmay the whitchurchstouffville chamber of commerce is once again sponsoring superhost a oneday training program designed to improve customer ser vice the course will be held on may 14 from 845 am to 4 pm at maples of ballantrae helene johnson president of the local chamber is stressing the importance of business learning how when and why to better relate and serve clients superhost is back by popular demand simply because it is an excellent course said johnson the people who took it last time expressed that it is well worth the time and the cost stressed john- soncost of the course is 50 for chamber members and 60 for non members the maxi mum size of a class is 20 explained johnson for more informa tion call the chamber office at 6424227 breen doesnt anticipate an increase in business because of the change the same
