noti fying all registered donors for the fall clinic said roberts there are a total four blood clinics held each year in stouffviue about 800 units of blood are collected from this community each year said roberts we certainly want this clinic to continue it is very important said roberts when it comes to donating blood stouf fviue rises to the challenge two weeks ago 179 units of blood were collected the annual mayors clinic mayor wayne emmerson said next years goal has already been set the mayor is aim ing for 200 units the toronto blood centre is responsible for collecting testing processing and dis tributing blood and blood products for 61 hospitals in toronto and central area including stouffviue cleaning up peter woessner right and charlotte mcquade clear debris from fridays on municipal streets or highways said emmerson emmerson is not alone york regional police chief bryan cousincau is also opposed to any move to bring photo radar back two weeks ago ontario premier mike harris kept an election promise by killing the photo radar system provincewide instead harris has beefed up police traffic units the move to get rid of photo radar impressed the york police chief cousineau has never supported its use as a deterrent to speeding im with the police chief on this one said emmerson emmerson is suggesting that the best way to discourage speeding is to have police
