people are tuned into reality said marquis todays debt is tomorrows taxes people know this he said pulling off a liberal win on june 8 will not be done without plenty of work said marquis in his quest for a seat at queens park mar quis a 41yearold sunderland dairybeef farmer is spending 12 hours a day covering the urbanrural riding in the last election in 1990 in durhamyork less than 2000 votes separated the three front runners tvaditionally durhamyork elects mpps on the side of the government in the 1990 election after all the votes were counted bob rae was the new premier the new demo cratic party ndp formed the government and larry oconnor of the ndp was durham- yorks new mpp marquis said it doesnt matter if hes at the doors in downtown stouffville gormley good wood cedar valley list last week across ontario more than 40000 enumera tors including those from durhamyork worked in pairs to identify about 6 million elec tors in the last provincial election held in 1990 61 per cent of the electorate voted in durham- york laswick pointed out that in urban areas of the riding electors must have their names on the list of electors or hold a certificate in order to vote
