green light by the league and is now awaiting approval the application was made up by richmond hill resident george stavro who has served as coach and general manager with the ajax axemen of the oha provin cial junior a league in recent years stavro who must still enter into an agreement with the whitchurchstouffville minor hockey association regarding ice time for the junior a club is look ing to establish an affiliation arrangement with the uxbridge bruins junior c hockey club stravro has received a letter from bruins general manager bruce colwell expressing support for the bid but colwell said it remains to be seen whether his club would switch from its cur rent affiliation agreement with the pickering panthers weve basically said it would be a good idea if he stavro gets to the girls will split into two teams for exhibition tourna ments at durham board of education schools for this season waters notes the response to the new school sport has been positive so far the kids the 199495 campaign which saw the bruins make it as far as the central ontario junior c hockey league playoffs the bruins will make a special presen tation to underwood at the banquet with a dance to follow in his honor tickets to the dance which gets under way at 9 pm at the legion are 5 each
