outfit was to begin its durhamyork dyssa title defence this week returnees jon barnes and bill pride are expected to stabilize the unit with les hartai derek sheehan brian snooks brian leoni and vince as four of the seven stouffville amateur hock ey league sahl games fea tured the same opponents as the week before both the gallo real estate red wings and the villeneuve heating flyers came up with leafs it was bob little barry gyton jack holder garth krisman art van esterik and joe infurnari scoring for the flyers who blanked the nords 60 the stouffville travel whalers who had been bested by the occa sions catering blues the previous week tied the blues at two a piece this time bruce woodley and lionel vil leneuve clicked for the blues the canadian tire black hawks who had played to a draw with the smurthwaite heating bruins in game one downed the bruins 74 george sled steve megill and dale vick each netted a pair for the winners with bob allison scoring a solo marker al mcnaught with two and gary husbands and bill ormson clicked for the bruins in other action ron murphy had a hat trick and marc moreau scored twice as the stomark rental kings snuck past the v1 lage landscaping soffball league the stouffville ladies mon day night fun softball league wrapped up the season with an all day tournament at the town park recently with a floral touch taking all the marbles the floral outfit went unde feated in four games coming back to down fame internation al 1615 in the championship match fame which had already lost one game in the double knock out competition needed two wins over floral to claim the title they led 153 at one point in the game but the floral squad vi vv v1 capped an impressive come back by plating five runs in the bottom of the seventh and final inning to win it joan allen and christine ziegler led the way offensively for the winners fame ended up winning three and losing two on the day j
