might offer a different approach to the problem first burning waste materi als when properly designed can be done by keeping the treatment of waste gases con trolled and utilizing the heat energy produced secondly the heat produced should not be in steam but in high temperature hot water operative at 350 degrees fahrenheit or more for this purpose this eliminates the costly need for water treatment plants and makes the distribution of heat by district heating mains straight forward since connec tions to houses at reduced tem peratures of 180200 degrees fahrenheit can be metred and
