seventeen skaters will go on to compete in the upper york interclub figure skating finals in february as a result of their strong showings at last weeks stouffville figure skating club competition the annual event held last tuesday and wednesday at the stouffville recreation centre featured 18 categories with the top two finishers in each event qualifying for the upper york competition feb 9 and 10 nicole jeffrey had three first place finishes taking the juvenile figure free preliminary elements and junior silver dance categories leslie penny won the pre- novice figure free and the silver interpretive and also had a second leeanna hamilton was first in senior silver dance and gold interpretive with a second as well brenda hachey took first place in open interpretive and gold dance
