subdivision plan could end this week when whitchurch- stouffville town council is ex pected to announce a decision council has been asked to ap prove modifications to official plan amendment no 25 which would allow developers to pro ceed with the development on ap proval of draft plan conditions until this point approval had been stymied by residents con cerns about the effects of a pro posed municipal water supply system necessary for a development of this size on their existing wells objectios were also raised over the declaration homeowners would be required to pay the total costs involved in hooking their in dividual homes to the municipal supply however in a bid to see the project underway randy alcorn representative for the developers indicated to council and residents the proponents have agreed to pay connection costs for existing homes in bloomington to the municipal piped water system after much deliberation and thought the developer has in structed us to put forward the proposal they not only intend to put in the municipal water supply system but are prepared to pro vide individual water connec tions he said at last tuesdays council meeting mr alcorn pointed out the pro posal would include repairing any damages incurred to the homeowners property during in stallation such as ripping up flower beds or driveway asphalt everything will be done in a way to minimize costs but the project will be done to the satisfaction of the municipality he stressed it will be a condi- tion of the subdivision agreement we are proposing what trie people want he continued we shouldnt have to go any further were bending over backwards as it is mr alcorn added that he thought they were being fair to the residents with the proposal following discussion on the
