the staff would appreciate it if parents or guardians would come to the school on this date if this proves inconvenient registrations will be accepted through feb 10 dear jim im distressed that you did not call to ask the reasons for putting our planning department in a separate building the main reason of course is economics your tax dollars and mine michael saunders and staff have accommodated the situa tion still not the best we took the old arena down this gave us 21000 square feet of parkland back we took the old green washrooms down and refurbish ed latcham hall at great cost this gave us new washrooms we also utilized the existing sewage water and hydro connections for the donated building with planning moving out and treasury moving into the plann ing area council can have its committee room back in order to conduct town business in a proper manner the cost may well be close to 50000 when totally restored however to add a wing to the ex isting building would have cost well over 100000 to move to the rural area would have cost millions in cluding the land and a new struc ture of approximately 20000 square feet on far more acres at todays prices the building in the future can generate revenue various ser vice clubs evening meetings summer park programs in bad weather a chamber of com merce location to mention a few one must be innovative and creative in the short term remember we have no sewage capacity gormleys on hold ballahtrae musselmans lake and bloomington are awaiting communal water keeping taxes down and making life bearable on a daily basis in the work place and serving the public are my highest priorities we have good staff hired ex perts and the ability to plan anything all we need is money yours others and mine the creamery owner did reveal a plan to us however it has not come to fruition for whatever reason believe me it was a muchneeded facility theres no parking on church street south for institutional pur- poses and costs are very high for residential buildings today the new building the municipal building as well a parkland are all townowned assets to be used to serve the public the new planning department will serve our residents well ire the short term everyone hated those old green washrooms even if we added an addition or bought the creamery we would have had to pave a larger parking area in the same section to accommodate employees and visitors cars we need to stay close together for telephone records computer services and meetings we have more than 100 acres of parkland in whitchurch- stouffville for all to enjoy i trust you will tour our new facilities in the early spring sincerely fran sainsbury mayor girl next door colorados gain by jim thomas colorados gain will be stouffvilleslpss fifteenyearold christy
