also will one its highly respected teachers ken benson second street stouffville has accepted the posi tion of youth pastor at sarnia missionary church beginning in august the congregation has a membership of more than 300 with close to eighty young adults ken feels hes been led by the lord into this new mission and is looking forward to the challenge hes our featured teacher of the week musical chairs ken 27 grew up in gormley son of bruce and gerry benson he has two sisters karen sayers of aurora and kelly at home kens elementary education was like a game of musical chairs he attended no less than six schools prior to grade 9 he was the sdss commence ment valedictorian ken retains marvellous memories of his years spent at stouffville high volleyball was his favorite sport he was a mem ber of six championship teams both jim rehill and peter san derson had a positive influence on his athletic endeavors he says fastballs another enjoyable recreation he patrols the versity of western ontario he holds a masters degree in health education it was while enrolled at queens that he met and later married carolyn champion a real win ner he says reflecting on her maiden name they have a daughter charity prior to the arrival of charity ken and carolvn both taught at the stouffville christian school shes now a fulltime mom he says with a satisfied smile committed christian ken teaches science grades 7 to 10 and typing grade 9 he coaches the volleyball team and is the staff viceprincipal ive been extremely happy here he says he appreciates what he describes as the christ- centred environment at scs a committed christian ken be lieves his hands been in gods hand as hes walked the pathway of life and the journeys by no means over eventually he and lose 30 lbs
