in his praise of lewis reesors work the sides are straight as an arrow hes never a halfinch over or under he does a perfect job polly claims the utensils lewis uses havent changed in 43 years a shovel two spades a pick and bar and a wheelbarrow lewis has been called out to work under less than ideal condi tions even in the pouring rain when it wasnt fit for a dog he admits but he now draws the line at digging graves in the winter cutting through three feet of frost isnt easy he says anyone who insists on a burial in the winter should try digging the grave himself he says lewis stresses the importance of people choosing grave sites well in advance he admits its something most folks put off h plots were selected before hand it would make it so much easier he suggests lewis describes himself as semiretired all 1 do now is feed a few pigs and look after the lawn and garden lewis and alma reesor and two daughters reside in an historic stone farmhouse north of 18th avenue east of hwy unusual pro fession he credits it with helping him keep fit im pleased ive had the health and strength to do it many people retire with nothing to do he says while gravedigging methods have changed in recent decades with most work done by machines lewis reesors hope ful he can postpone the inevitable a few more years you do it one shovelfull at a time he concludes lewis reesor 18th avenue rr 2
