community hall emilys a grade 6 student attending claremont public school v jim thomas claremont lassie emily dances for joy i by jim thomas claremont elevenyearold emily marks was accorded enthusiastic applause following her dance dec 6 at the lions- 1 sponsored claremont christmas show unknown to most- this is only one of many talents possessed by this pretty william street girl she plays the piano takes swimming lessons belongs to the girl guides and plays on the volleyball team at claremont public school shes a student in grade 6 art is a favorite subject while emily no longer takes highland dance lessons shes never losl interest i still enjoy it she says she has many trophies and medals as proof of her skill the sailors hornpipe and the jig are favorites she has fciir different outfits in competition emily usually danced to bagpipes at the claremont show she used a tape emily is the daughter of john and karen marks she has a youn ger brother john 7 while she still has several education years to go emily has her sights set on becoming a lawyer she attends sunday school at claremont united church claremont is a community with many talent young people travelled the farthest distance following dinner family mem bers returned to doug and muriels home for a few hours of fellowship family at home gord and marion housser ninth line south stouffville had members of their family home for christmas including bob and kathy housser and sons from goodwood rick and beth monte- gami caledon east bill and blair and anne and alison thome portugal cove new timothy and louise family gathering david and janet barthau and family darren danny and heather dorman drive stouff ville visited with janets sister and brotherinlaw pauline and graham middleton and family of pickering dec 26 thirty family relatives sat down to dinner on christmas day david and janet and family enjoyed the company of davids parents mr and mrs lloyd barthau of markham and his aunt
