also had a fourth and sixth williams in the same age group took top spot in the 200m freestyle and collected seconds in the 200m backstroke and the walker 400 she finished off with a seventh eighth fourth fifth three sevenths and three eighths for the ll12s sue dixon won the 100 200m butterfly was second in the 100m freestyle and had two eighths as well sarah smith swam to a sixth kristina baker led the way for mac in the 1314 division topping the 100m butterfly placing third in the 200m freestyle and also earning a fifth melanie mack- wood had an eighth greg stokes was the top achiev er for battles hed ever seen the last game against bayview was just incredible fletcher said it took almost 20 minutes to play the final point and the gym was packed with 300 people the bayview and stouffville fans were making so much noise fletcher said he had trouble hearing what his players were saying during time outs after a long backandforth battle in which the tic score of 1414 stood for nearly 20 minutes and there were eight side outs when a team regains the serve of the ball but is not awarded points jon hall finally hit the winning point jon played a great game fletcher said hc was volleyball scene for years the last senior spartan championship was in 1985 and this years title will be the 16th time sdss has had its name on the trophy injuries took a toll on the spartans this season they went into the championship without top centre scott rehill out with a knee injury and to make matters worse power player don clearwater turned an ankle in the first game against bayview and missed the second con test paul sinclair and keith cheng came in and substituted well fletcher said the win really was a total team effort because every body played even though he was hurt rehill came into the final against bayview to serve for a point scott wanted to win the title so bad that i just had to get him in somewhere fletcher explained of the move with the york title under their
