both players and coaches alike it was fantastic bruin coach randy hall said we did a lot of sightseeing through the mountains it was a lot of fun however the junior c bruins didnt go on the 12day trip through germany switzerland austria and liechtenstein just to do that tourist thing they also played some hock ey games before leaving for europe on box ing day hall admitted that it was a mystery as to what teams they would be playing they had seven games scheduled against german and swiss clubs but they had no idea what calibre of competition they would meet up with hall expected there would be a few mismatches and some close games he was right for instance the bruins bounced peiting germany 194 and had an easy time against swiss clubs en- gelberg and chur winning 152 and 80 respectively there were also a couple of close games the bruins beat feussen germany 74 and badtoel ger many 76 however the games were friend ly exhibitions and the players would often socialize afterwards the sportsmanship after the games was really great hall said stouffvile resident and bruin goalie joe risk agreed usually after the games we got together and went out on the town he said there was no problem with the language differences since many of the european players spoke en glish risk added for risk and a number of other bruins this was the first time they had ever been to europe it was an amazing experience we had a great time risk said one of the more interesting things the bruins did was play on outdoor rinks in switzerland it was really different thats for sure risk said we were playing well above sea level and over the boards there was an incredible view of the mountains it was a little hard to keep my mind on the game some times now that the europe trip is his tory the bruins can concentrate on the remainder of their season i think the experience of the trip will pull the guys together hall said we learned a lot other bruin players from stouff- ville who went on the europe trip were lee and chris brown kevin smith ken burrows and good woods scott harper atom clippers end season with big victory and bigger loss goalmouth scramble the fame international atom
