works a metal clip is attached to each of the 10000 books if a student or teacher leaves and neglects to sign out the alarm sounds if the proper procedure is fol lowed the clip is desensitized and the alarm is silenced the initial cost was high about 12000 audrey explains this fi gure was shared by the board 5000 the students council 4000 and the school 3000 as a capital expense it wasnt just a dollar problem audrey says but the frustration of requiring reference materials and finding them not there this was continually being experi enced by both students and staff she claims with respect to
