who returns to st marks each year to attend the grade 8 graduation those trustees who for the past 12 months has been openly branded by some members of this board as a special interest group personally i resent being refer red to in this manner i ha ve many interests one of which is the building of the markham- stouffville hospital i am fully aware that the so cal led special interest often re ferred to is really an interest in the welfare of unborn babies i make no apologies for being pro- life because i know that life be gins at conception and that abor1 tion destroys that life j even though this point of view seems to arouse great concern among some members i do not believe it should be detrimental to my sitting on this board i would like to assure the presi- dent chairman and all members of this board that my prime con sideration is the construction of a firstclass community hospital one in which all life will be re spected i plan to fulfill my com mitment to this end y6u should know that 33 of adults in stoufville received none of the last four issues of the stouffviue sun compared to 282 who received none of the last four issues of the tribune sources kubas the company of family relatives and friends in the fel lowship room of parkview home the occasion was her 97th birthday on june 25 only three days later mrs redshaw suffered a stroke she passed away sunday june 29 born in hertford heath england the daughter of james and mary maynard warboy mrs redshaw came to canada at age thirteen for a time she lived on property between the 5th and 6th conces sions of uxbridge township she attended the fifth line methodist church where she taught sunday school and sang in the choir later she resided at dicksons hill before moving to the winlane apartments stouffviue and then to the seniors apartments on elm road the past several years were spent at parkview home where she was wellknown and highly respected by residents and staff following the death of james walker her first husband in 1921 and william redshaw her second husband in 1942 she filled the role of both mother and father to her children although the raising of two families kept her busy she found time to take in boarders she also knit dozens of pairs of socks for ship ment overseas during world war ii surviving from her first family is one son james walker of beaverton and a daughter lillian brown of lindsay she was predeceased by a son bill surviving from her second family are daughters ahline sinclair stouffviue bernice ringwood markham doris farthing stouff viue and murray redshaw of stouffviue one brother ed warboy resides in uxbridge surviving also are three stepchildren ila wagner of newburg ethel redman of markham and luclla robertson of port perry she was predeceased by three stepchildren ina norton ira red shaw and stanley redshaw there are 14 grandchildren 12 greatgrandchildren and 16 step- grandchildren rev herb gale of st james presbyterian church
