unfefiroe sttccftrd thncs p 17 pony ride games the best what the festival means to me the festival means a lot to me be cause i like the pony ride and the games but i like the parade too- the parade goes straight through unionville i think get ting my face done is one great thing to do there is also a lot of food and drinks and i cant forget a very haunted house and remember its june 7 and 8 if you havent been there your missing a lot of fun sandra allen childrens eye view pioneer life very busy i love unionville because i love unionville there is so much to do playing sports like baseball playing hockey at the arena too unionville has schools stores and even a library and during unionville festival theres a haunted house thats really scary i really love unionville and everything in it unionville is exciting because its got the loving spirit i love unionville gina lee geuzebroek grade 5 wm berczy ps a trip back in time one morning i woke up in a hard bed like wood not like a soft cushy one when i was dressed i had breakfast at a squeaky table and went out side i got the surprise of my life there were my grandparents in my greatgrandparents arms they were even younger than me i think i went back in time my great grandparents were teaching me to work in a saw mill and a gristmill too i even got to see william berczy they taught me to make my own little onestorey house i felt real proud to do these things i really would like to live back then i like to weave make butter make ice cream and help make dinner and set the table- i would also like to help chop trees and wood i would wear a long dress with an apron and bonnet then we would have supper by the fireplace and af ter tell stories for half an hour next we would get in our nightgowns and go to sleep in the hard beds for the night julie this morning i was awakened by a rooster he was a little early but i got up anyway i put on my brown dress and a pinafore over my dress so it wouldnt get dirty then my mother called me to come for breakfast i had por ridge it was good with a cup of milk after i was done i started carding some wool david brought in from the sheep then i fed the chickens i went to school and we learned to spell some hard words also our lots to do at festival at the festival there is lots of games and lots of things to eat there is also a parade that goes through the main street of union ville there is also a very scary haunted house and we can not forget those pony rides now do not forget it is on june the seventh and eighth sara trought grade 3 unionville ps class worked on arithmetic to day jimmy had to sit with a dunce cap on all this week he sat with the dunce cap on because he has been acting silly at recess i had lunch and my friends and i played leap frog our team lost then our teacher called the class in for reading and we all worked on our questions one at a time we went up to the front and read to the teacher later on we sang songs then we were dismissed when i got home i had to churn the butter and set the table for supper after i was done setting the table i went to the general store to trade some of our eggs for some sugar when i brought the sugar home i started helping my mother with supper while david and billy helped my father with the wood for the fire today our family had stew and corn bread when we were finished we were excused from the table yesterday my aunt started to teach me how to spin so i spun for a little while and then i said my prayers and went to bed karen harper grade 4 5 william berczy public school haunted house is her favorite at the unionville festival there are lots of floats and lots of candy floss and there are pony rides that little kids go on i like the haunted house elizabeth janson grade 3 unionville ps its toogood to be true the cat tails the windsurfer sails the beautiful trees swaying in the breeze the graceful ducks and in the winter too many flying pucks the slightly waving water its slowing getting hotter the wooden bridges echoing sound all day you could walk round and round the path that leads you to the sights and its especially beautiful on winter nights theres only one thing i can say its too good to be true trisha riehl liiiiiiiai pli ilfilb bltoiaiflb fflpg
