million next year also in the works are another arena in the markham area 1988 an indoor soccer arena 1987 a fitness centre in milliken 1989 and 1 million set aside for sabis- ton pit park 1987 tennis courts at the kennedy reservoir and at centennial park are also being contemplated of the total amount almost half has been set aside for 1986 and 1987 with the new municipal cen tre taking 10 million the muni cipal lands on the north side of hwy 7 west of the markham theatre are being serviced with water and sewer lines and the town is considering architectural drawings now new fire department services to be added include two stations and four pumper truckers road maintenance priorities for 1986 are the widening of 14th ave between warden ave and kennedy rd and the reconstruc tion of markham main st total cost is 1 million other proposed road improve ments include the widening of 14th ave from woodbine ave to roddick rd the section of 14th ave east of kennedy to 48 and the adequate said mr white adding that chain link fences sub stantially reduce unauthorized use or access he said the ministry is con cerned about a potential fire hazard and worried about the effects
